We encourage active and sustainable travel to and from school.  We have limited parking at school, so parents are encouraged to park in the village or in The Shannon pub car park and to walk from there.

We have a walking bus every day, run by staff and parents, that walk children back to The Shannon car park at the end of the day.

Children log how they get to school each day and children that walk to school at least once a week, every week in a month, receive a special badge.

We have Junior Road Safety Officers who promote road safety in school, to parents and to the wider community.  They patrol the roads and hand out leaflets, run poster competitions and do assemblies.
