Bucklesham Primary School

'Working Hard, Aiming High'

School Closure

Dear Parents
We are writing to inform you that the school will be closed for ALL children including those of key workers as of tomorrow, 25th March. This is because of extremely low levels of staffing. We aim to review the staffing situation in the middle of April and will update you on any changes. Suffolk County Council have launched a helpline for key worker parents. This will assist you to make alternative arrangements for your children if it is needed. Please note, that the advice from the government is that if you are a key worker, but can safely look after your children at home, you should do so. Schools and alternative providers should only be used if it is essential. The helpline number is 01473 263985.
We will continue to upload work for the children to do at home on a regular basis. This week we have also included an activity planner which can be used to break up the activities daily. This is there for guidance and if you wish to complete the work on a different schedule, this is also fine. Although we are closed, I will be continuing to write to you several times a week to give guidance and advice. Please also note, I will have access to the admin email if you have any questions. This will be the best way to contact me.
Finally, I would like to say a huge thank you to our school community. You have been incredibly supportive and understanding during these difficult times. Please stay safe everybody and remember to get in contact with us on the school email if you need anything.
Best wishes
Mrs Lea
