I am writing to inform you that the school will be closed tomorrow (Wednesday 18th March) for the whole day. This is to allow a deep clean to be carried out. We are planning to reopen on Thursday 19th March after this has been completed, however, we will also be reviewing advice from Public Health England. If this changes, we will contact you to inform you of any updates.
Home Learning Packs
All children will be bringing home a home learning pack this evening. This will contain an English and a maths book where they can record their activities. We will also include a copy of the maths calculation policy for each year group that can be used for both yours and the children's information. All activities are printed and are also available on the website which is www.buckleshamprimaryschool.co.uk.
Please go to children / class pages and click on your child's appropriate class. All work is under emergency home learning which is visible at the top of the page. Please note, we have provided the children with plenty of learning opportunities and have included a range of maths and English activities. Please continue to complete the topic homework which is also on the website.
Year 6 have been given separate maths, spag and reading revision books. Please can they complete their answers in the exercise books that we have provided. This is so the revision guides can be reused again.
If the school is to close for a longer period, all work will be continued to be uploaded onto your child's class page. If you are in self-isolation, these pages can also be used even if the school is open. If the school continues to be open on Thursday, please do not feel the need to complete these. We have made them available to those who are not in school, or as precautionary measure if the school is to shut.
The Government is currently advising that if anyone in your household has any symptoms of COVID-19 that the whole family has to isolate for 14 days. Please do not send children into school if you are affected and please continue to follow Government guidance via Public Health England.
We thank you for your continued support.
