Bucklesham Primary School

'Working Hard, Aiming High'

Dear Parents,

It is with regret that the school will be closed to ALL pupils tomorrow.

We will then reopen to children of key workers and vulnerable children from Wednesday 6th of January.

We will be contacting key worker parents and parents of vulnerable children tomorrow to offer places . Can I stress, if you have not filled the key worker form in already and need key worker provision, the deadline will now be 9am tomorrow morning to allow us time to finalise our register and try to accommodate those who have requested it.

Remote learning will be sent to all children tomorrow. All children will have direct access to their teacher either remotely or in key workers and vulnerable children's cases from Wednesday face to face.

As from Wednesday, pre-recorded video inputs from the teachers will be uploaded on class dojo to reflect a normal school day alongside work. Our remote learning policy is available on our website. We will also send this round for you all to see tomorrow.

As stated previously, if we have high demand for key worker parents, we will be allocating places based on the hierarchy I put in my letter earlier today.

Finally I want to express my frustration and disappointment that this national decision has been taken at such short notice and at such a late hour.

As a community you are very supportive and we will continue to do our best to support you in this difficult time.

Many Thanks
Mrs Lea
