History

In our school we aim for our pupils to have an extensive base of historical knowledge and vocabulary. History is taught throughout the school through a variety of engaging topics and themes. We encourage our children to become researchers and to have a sense of curiosity about the past. Through our curriculum we aim for children to have an excellent knowledge and understanding of people, events, and contexts from a range of historical periods and of historical concepts and processes. We want children to have as many hands on experiences as possible to enrich history knowledge and learning throughout the curriculum. All classes participate in a variety of visits outside of school as well as having visitors and other professionals visit the school environment.
